Test Drive Run...1st Day in the water!!
We couldn't make our 1st run to the Islands due to a bad storm that moved through over the weekend. Instead we decided to go out for a "test run" to see how the boat would handle in some crappy conditions. There was about a 6 foot swell running and it was blowing 20 plus knots, not the nicest day on the water, but she ended up handling really nicely. We were almost too warm at times in the cabin and cruising at a happy speed of about 16 knots in crap weather was awesome. The pic shows the harbor calm and tranquil, but just outside the breakwater it was a whole other story. With a little luck we are going to Santa Rosa and/or Anacapa this weekend in hopes of some halibut and yellowtail hopefully. Hopefully some good pics to follow, and some fatties to be landed. Over and out for now, Cheers, BJ sportfishing.
